Designing a Destination​​​

Located in North Maple Regional Park, Vaughan's future signature park, the Pondside District will be a four season destination for residents and visitors to Vaughan.

​

The Pondside District will feature:

​

• An expansive nature playground and water play areas with unique interactive features designed to ignite curiosity, contact with nature, and self directed play;

• The Pondside Pavilion with open air shelter, washrooms, concession and home to the ice rink's Zamboni;

• A 135m skate trail wrapped around an island of trees;

• A 750m trail around the park's only pond which includes boardwalk sections and a promenade with seating; 

• The Grand Pavilion with a striking architectural design and stunning views along with adjacent gardens.

• A parking lot, pathways, and entrances to service the Pondside District.​​
